Winter Craft Idea

Mr Penguin's Igloo

May got a new cuddly toy this weekend ,he still hasn't got a name , but I was told he needed a house.
One cardboard box got recycled into an igloo in one afternoon, not bad work.
We opened up both ends of the box so we could form a hexagon shape at the top and the bottom. Next was layer of paper mache and a doorway cut out, finally some glitter. Then May said it was finished and Mr Penguin was happy!
He's now part of our Winter window display though at night time Mr Penguin seems to disappear.

Paper Mache Snowman

Frosty The Snowman

If you dont mind mess this is the make for you! My kids had a great time making snowmen, or in the case of May had a great time making a great mess.
I make Paper mache mix out of white PVA glue and Water { 1/2 glue to 1/2 water } To make the snowballs we put handfulls of shredded paper into a tub with the paper mache mix. Got the paper nice and wet ,then squeeved it together to form balls. We left our snowballs to dry out for a couple of days and then painted them white. Lollipop sticks for arms and we have a snowman.
