Homemade Keepsake Box

One Cardboard Box
Add on one creative 8 year old girl we get this!
Not bad if I say so myself.  May decided she needed a new box to keep some special things in.We covered the soap powder box in pink and purple paper then May decorated it with sticky jewels and shiny tape. The slot at the top she decided was to drop secret notes in. The only thing I didnt let her do was stick a big label  on it saying Big Brother Stay out!

Winter Craft Idea

Mr Penguin's Igloo

May got a new cuddly toy this weekend ,he still hasn't got a name , but I was told he needed a house.
One cardboard box got recycled into an igloo in one afternoon, not bad work.
We opened up both ends of the box so we could form a hexagon shape at the top and the bottom. Next was layer of paper mache and a doorway cut out, finally some glitter. Then May said it was finished and Mr Penguin was happy!
He's now part of our Winter window display though at night time Mr Penguin seems to disappear.

Homemade Cardboard Photo Frames

May painted a Spitfire for her brother over the holidays, she decided the plane would look good with spots. James the nice big brother thanked her { after i warned him not to pull her up about the spots ,But mum was the reply ! } Next came the frame, then it was trying to explain to May that James didnt want a pink or gold or silver {that took a bit longer } I have put the instructions on our Recycling Craft page another easy make for kids.
