Easy to make Finger Puppets

Our Family Portrait
{Finger Puppet Style}

  When I worked in Nursery Schools I spent a lot of time reading children stories, some sat better than others. My favourite way of getting their attention was with puppets,they helped bring stories to life.
Many an afternoon I spent talking to a puppet,some of the other nursery nurses thought i was mad but it worked.The children wanted more stories.The Finger puppets are easy
to make and can be made to look like most characters in children's books.I have put instruction's and more photos of other characters into my Preschool Arts and craft page.They are cheap to and fun to make!

Home made Jewellery

Penny and May's new Jewellery

May's always been into crafts of any kind, she complains school is boring because they dont make anything!
 Last Friday we took her to our local crafts shop as treat and came away {half an hour later}with a bag of beads. It wasn't till we got home did she realise Penny {her favourite cuddly toy}needed new jewellery too.So rather than drag everyone back out,Penny had to put up with some home made jewellery instead.
{I have put instructions on how to make Penny's jewellery onto May's Fashion page}

Plastic Bottle Makes

Like most homes I end up with lots of plastic bottles to recycle.
May and I decided to see what we could make with them. PVA glue, tissue paper,coloured foam and some stickers and off we went.May decided Mum and Dad had to be done first and then her,we havent got to James yet! Hope you like the photos.

Lord of the Rings Fan

Now I'm not a LOTR Games workshop fan and I dont play the game,I leave that to James and his dad.
But I am a fan of the books and the Films.[cant wait to see The Hobbit got the babysitter booked already] Last month was my birthday and my husband painted me a Dragon from the Games Workshop range. He's a wargammer too but more important than that he remembers my Birthday !

I must admit he is a good figuire painter. Last year he painted me Gandalf my favourite character.Both figuires have been put up high, away from little hands.

He.s a good hubby,only thing is the amount of Warhammer,Flames of war, Lord of the rings figuires, I have in my house it is unbelievable! Even May is getting her own army!
