Paper Plate Bird
This paper plate bird was made from 2 plates .The second plate we folded in half and then cut out the shape of the wings. We added tissue paper feathers to the wings and paper eyes. I've added a before picture below
Handprint Birds
Handprints make great bids ! Two together overlapping just a little work well. Children can use paint or draw round their hands to make the shape. I like to get May to practice her cutting skills so I get her to cut out her handprints afterwards.
Toilet Tube Binoculars
Toilet tubes make great pretend Binoculars !I tend to cover the tubes first and then stick them together, you can also add on a string strap so the kids can hang them round their neck.
Fan Birds
These little birds are easy to make and are suitable for all ages of children to make. The body is cut from card and the wings made from a folded bit of paper. You can decorate the birds before or after you put them together.
This little tree was made from a cardboard tube .The branches were cut from strips of the tube too ,I cut slots in the trunk to slide the branches into. The bottom of the trunk I attached to a flat bit of card to help it stand.
Foam Butterflies
Foam butterflies are an easy make for children of all ages. The photo's below show what shapes to cut out to make a simple butterfly.
Spring Flowers
For younger children the petals and leaves can be cut out before hand ,for older children its a an easy shape to cut out.
To make it harder you can put 2 layers of petals together to get a more 3d picture.
