Home made Bangles

Easy Home made Bangles

I have been busy working on homemade bangles at the moment. May loves bangles and jewellery like any other girl, like any other mum I look for a cheaper option. The bangles above are made from recycled plastic bottles, recycled  paper and covered with tissue paper. Cheap to make!
May's busy working on her own designs, will add them to the blog later along with instructions.

Warhammer Colouring in

Warhammer Colouring In

May puts her own ideas into Warhammer, this weekend she decided to make her brother a special picture. James has put it up on his bedroom wall.
She searched the internet for a picture to colour and stuck it onto cardboard to make it 3d.  It must be the first picture of a Warhammer figuire with a smile !

One Cute Guinea Pig

Meet Scruffy the Guinea pig

My new owner seem to wear lots of Pink!

My daughter surprised me!, this past month we had a deal if she could save up the money for a cage she could get a small pet.
Last sunday she made it to the total of £40 and it was away to Pets at Home. Half an hour later we were back with one Guinea pig +cage. We had thought about a Hamster or Gerbil ,but were adviced from a family friend to go for the guinea pig. So far it has been a good choice.
May cuddles him, brushes his hair and talks to him, the little pig just sits there and loves the attention! So far so good, she has even cleaned up after him, even when it involved a change of clothes.
My vote for best pet for a child ,its got to be a guinea pig

Recycling Paper and keeping kids busy

While James is busy trench building, May has been busy using up most of the paper and card in our house. Origami is her favourite at the moment, she was well chuffed with the results.

Will put up some instructions in our Recycling page soon ,but have a look just now, Origami Basket instructions are already there.

WIP Flames of War Trench

Terrain Building !

James has started a summer holiday project. I told him pick something easy, James picked to make a model of a World War 1 trench, that of course had to be the right size for his Flames of War figuires. 3 days on its still a work in progress but i wanted to show what you can do with boxes, clay and newspaper.

Will post some more pictures soon.
